Hazard Utilities offers water, sewer, gas, and garbage service to the residents of Hazard and its immediate environs. It has a customer base of approximately 6,500, including many who live beyond the corporate limits of the city. Hazard Utilities can be obtained by contacting City Hall at the number listed above, or by coming in during business hours.

Hazard Utilities service between persons requires a new deposit to be made by the recipient of the service. (i.e. You move out of an apartment or house for which the Hazard Utilities are in YOUR name. The new renter, owner, or person living there is required to place a new deposit for HU services. |

Please note that there is no
way to estimate a water, sewer, or gas bill. Bills for these services are calculated from the amount of service provided, i.e. how much water you used in the month. |

Billing Clerks
These ladies work as the billing and payment clerks for Hazard Utilities. In addition to taking payments, these ladies answer the questions that citizens have about water and gas service, and about how to find anything in city hall!

Juanita & Ms. Ed
There aren't many people who come into city hall without meeting these ladies sooner or later. Juanita works to keep city hall spic & span, while Ms. Ed provides the background music (most often by barking, quacking, and screeching!)
