Beverly Maggard has worked in city hall for the last 15 years. She is currently entering her tenth year as City Treasurer and has long been the Secretary to the Mayor. Before becoming City Treasurer in 1993, Beverly worked as a Tax Administrator for the city. Mrs. Maggard is a native of Hazard, and currently lives in Walkertown, where she was raised. An active member of Petrey Memorial Baptist Church; Maggard and her husband, Rod, have three daughters (Brandi Townsley, Lesley Buckner, and Vali Dye) and one grandchild.
