Fire Chief

Sam Stacy has served the Hazard Fire Department since August of 1991, being appointed Chief on September 4, 2007. Chief Stacy also serves as Safety Director for the City of Hazard since 1993. He has served as President of the Mountain Firefighter's Association on a couple of occasions and serves as their KFA Director at this time. Chief Stacy also as served as President of Hazard Shrine Club and is a Past Master of Hazard Masonic Lodge #676. He is a member of Frontline Ministries of Hazard and serves on their Leadership Council. Chief Stacy is a 1979 graduate of M.C. Napier High School and Hazard Community College. Chief Stacy is married to Lesa Hensly Stacy and they have two daughters Cassi Maggard and Ashley Teague. In his spare time the Chief enjoys hunting and fishing along with all types of sports.
