Where is Hazard, and how do I get there? Hazard is located in the heart of the Appalachian Coalfields in Eastern Ky. It is found at the crossroads of Highways 15 and 80 and the Hal Rogers Parkway (formerly the Daniel Boone Parkway). A map can be found here.
What are the populations of Hazard and Perry County? Hazard: Approx. 4,806; Perry County: Approx. 29,390
Does City Hall keep birth / death records, do driver's licensing, etc? No, these services are offered and maintained by county and state agencies in your area.
Whose office is in City Hall? The list of offices in the City Hall can be found through the Services and Facilities link above.
How much should my water bill be? Your water bill is based on the amount of water you use - if you use more water, your bill will be higher: less water use means a lower water bill.
How do I know if I have a gas leak?

Hazard Utilities places a chemical odor in your gas line to let you know if it is leaking. The odor is similar to rotten eggs.

What do I do if I think I have a gas leak? DO NOT USE OPEN FLAMES (smoking, candles, matches, etc.) Call the Hazard Utilities office immediately for instructions.
How do I get Hazard Utilities? Come to City Hall and sign up for it. Be aware that there is a deposit required for services.
What do I do if I'm moving out of my house? Come to City Hall and pay the balance on your HU Bill. You also need to cancel your Hazard Utilities service.
What do I do if I'm moving into a house with Hazard Utilities? Come to City Hall and have them turned on. A deposit will be required.
How do I get my rubbish/trash picked up? The Department of Public Works picks up non-garbage rubbish and trash on notice. Please call them at 436-5741
