Lou Ella R. Farler

Commissioner Farler was appointed to the 2000 - 2002 Commission in November of 2002 to fill the seat vacated by the death of her father, Commissioner Ben Roll, in early October. Commissioner Farler is an Assistant Vice President of First Federal Savings and Loan in Hazard. She is a life-long resident of the Walkertown section of Hazard and a graduate of Hazard High School. Commissioner Farler is an active member of Petrey Memorial Baptist Church, and a founding member and officer of People Against Drugs (PAD), a grassroots anti-drug community organization. She and her husband, Ronnie, have one daughter, Megan.
Dr. John F. Gilbert Jr., M.D.

Commissioner Gilbert was appointed to the Hazard City Commission in 1988 to finish the term of Commissioner S.H. "Fat" Lindon, who died in April of that year. Since then, Dr. Gilbert has served 5 terms as Commissioner. He is currently serving as Mayor Pro-Tem. Commissioner Gilbert is a third-generation doctor in Hazard, having followed his grandfather and uncle in their profession for 39 years. He has an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, and an M.D. from the University of Louisville. Dr. Gilbert currently serves on the Board of Directors for both People's Bank and Trust Co. of Hazard and the Hazard Nursing Home. Commissioner Gilbert has three children.
Jimmy Lindon

Commissioner Lindon has served as a Hazard City Commissioner for over 6 years and is entering his fourth elected term. Commissioner Lindon is the President of Lindon Distributing Company, INC. (DBA Lindon Heating Supply), and a land agent for Leslie Resources, INC. A native of Hazard, Lindon is a graduate of Hazard High School and has been a student at Hazard Community College. He is active in the Hazard Lions Club and The Renaissance Committee, a downtown revitalization community organization. Commissioner Lindon and his wife Judy live on Sun Valley Terrace and have three children; Jason, John, and Joey.
Donald "Happy" Mobelini
Commissioner Mobelini was appointed to the Hazard City Commission in 2003 to finish the term of the late Herman Maggard. A life-long resident of Hazard, Commissioner Mobelini graduated from Hazard High School in 1980, and since 1999 has served his alma mater as principal. Mobelini holds a Bachelor's degree ('84), a Master's degree ('85) and a Rank One ('86) from Union College, located in Barbourville, KY. Commissioner Mobelini and his wife, Deronda, have three children; Madison, Collier, and Marryn.
